TL;DR: cside's SourceForge Fall 2026 Leader Award
- The award: SourceForge named cside a Fall 2026 Leader. The award goes to products whose recent user reviews place them in the top 5% of favorably reviewed products out of the 100,000 listed on SourceForge.
- What it builds on: cside received SourceForge Top Performer awards in Winter 2026 and Spring 2026. Leader carries the stricter of the two thresholds.

San Francisco, 2026-10-06: cside, the browser-layer security and fraud prevention company, today announced that it has received the Fall 2026 Leader Award from SourceForge. SourceForge is the world's largest B2B software review and comparison website, with nearly 20 million in-market B2B software buyers each month. The award recognizes companies and products with a high volume of recent, excellent user reviews, enough to place them in the top 5% of favorably reviewed products out of the 100,000 on SourceForge.
"We're happy to announce this year's outstanding Fall 2026 Leaders," said SourceForge President Logan Abbott. "cside showed that they are loved by their users, as evidenced by their large amount of outstanding user reviews."
"Client-side security gets judged in production, by the engineers and compliance leads who have to show an auditor which scripts ran on a payment page and what those scripts did," said Simon Wijckmans, founder and CEO of cside. "SourceForge builds the Leader award from their reviews, so the credit belongs to the teams who took the time to write them. Thank you to every one of them."
What the SourceForge Leader award measures
SourceForge bases its seasonal awards on user reviews: how many recent reviews a product has and how highly those reviewers rate it.
The Leader award follows two SourceForge Top Performer awards earlier this year:
| Season | SourceForge award | Threshold as SourceForge describes it |
|---|---|---|
| Winter 2026 | Top Performer | Enough outstanding user reviews to place in the top tenth percentile of highly reviewed products |
| Spring 2026 | Top Performer | Enough outstanding user reviews to place in the top tenth percentile of highly reviewed products |
| Fall 2026 | Leader | Enough high-rated user reviews to place in the top 5% of favorably reviewed products, out of 100,000 |
As of 2026-07-02, cside's public SourceForge profile listed a 4.9/5 star rating across 37 reviews and ratings: 25 native SourceForge reviews plus 12 verified third-party ratings surfaced there.
What cside does
cside answers one question for security and compliance teams: what is actually running in our users' browsers? Third-party scripts from tag managers, payment providers, analytics vendors and chat widgets change outside your release cycle, and a WAF or a server-side scanner never sees what those scripts do once they load.
| What teams need | How cside handles it |
|---|---|
| An inventory of every script real users receive | Script monitoring in real browser sessions, with each behavior keyed to the content hash of the script that ran |
| Evidence for PCI DSS 4.0.1 requirements 6.4.3 and 11.6.1 | Script change alerts, review trails, and audit-ready reporting for payment pages |
| A way to stop a script that misbehaves | Blocks enforced at runtime in the browser, alongside CSP |
| A deployment that leaves site traffic alone | One first-party script tag, no DNS changes, nothing sitting in front of your traffic |
For payment pages, start with PCI Shield. For a side-by-side look at the tools that cover requirements 6.4.3 and 11.6.1, read our PCI DSS client-side security comparison.
